Blend Your Own Wine - Food and Wine Team Building McLaren Vale, South Australia

May 14, 2016

Friday the 13th was a fun day of team building Adelaide for the team at Fothergills. Boarding the bus at 8.15am in Adelaide, the team headed South to the beautiful wine region of McLaren Vale on the spectacular Fleurieu Peninsula.

The team arrived at D'Arenberg Winery ready for a Blend your own Wine session. Greeted with pipettes, tasting glasses, percentage calculators and numerous bottles of wine the session began.

The group were taught about wine appreciation, the different characteristics of wine and which grapes came from which areas of the vineyard.

The team then set about blending their own special concoction creating their own wine blend. Over the next 90 minutes the participants tasted, blended and bonded over this fun experience.

At the end of the session everyone bottled their wine, gave it a name and created their own label.

The team then reflected on the activity over some more wines and delicious cheese platters from Blessed Cheese.

Following the blending and cheese platters the group returned to Adelaide in the bus after a lot of fun and full of memories of the Fleurieu Peninsula and Adelaide.

Another fun team bonding day in Adelaide!
