Give the gift of light and hope to children living in energy poverty through the SolarBuddy Hour of Power - a powerful, one-hour charity team-building experience. During this meaningful activity, your delegates will assemble JuniorBuddy solar lights that are donated to children living in energy poverty. These lights help students study after dark, improving educational outcomes and overall well-being for entire families.

The event begins with an inspiring keynote that highlights the global issue of energy poverty and its devastating impact on children's health, education, and potential. Participants then build their SolarBuddy lights and write a heartfelt letter to accompany their donation - a personal message to their "SolarBuddy" recipient.

To close the session, your group reflects on the positive global impact of their contribution. The completed lights are then sent to our charity partners and distributed across the globe, including India, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Tibet, Thailand, Myanmar, Vanuatu, and Papua New Guinea.

How it works

Beyond the Boardroom will come to your training room or conference centre kitted out with solar light kits, an inspiring story and some great activities.

The teams will then commence building the solar lights.

The end of the activity we reflect on what this program really means and then the lights are shipped to our charity partner and distributed around the globe.

If run as a remote activity, lights are sent to participants pre event, a facilitator will guide the team through the process virtually and then the lights are sent back to the Beyond the Boardroom office to be sent to our charity partner.
