The Sydney Water Taxi Treasure Hunt is a thrilling 3-hour team challenge on the world’s most iconic harbour. With Sydney Harbour ranked the best in the world, there’s no better way to explore its stunning sights than from your very own water taxi.
Teams will compete in a race across the harbour, stopping at famous landmarks and hidden gems to complete challenges, collect clues, and unlock the secret to their team’s treasure. Who will be the first to crack the code and uncover the loot?
How it works
Each team is assigned their own private water taxi and driver to help them navigate Sydney Harbour. Armed with a map and cryptic clues, teams must travel to designated activity checkpoints—located at stunning harbourside spots like Circular Quay, Lavender Bay, Rose Bay, Cockatoo Island, and beyond.
At each location, teams complete a challenge to earn a piece of the final code. Once all clues are collected, the race is on to reach the final destination and unlock the treasure chest. The faster you find it, the better the reward inside!
Example Challenges:
- Shipwrecked – Construct a floating vessel using paddle pop sticks and tape. The more coins it holds without sinking, the more points your team scores.
- Cannons – Fire foam “cannonballs” with catapults towards a target zone, where teammates must catch them with precision.
- Marooned – Work together to select survival items before your ship sinks. Strategic thinking and communication are key.
This program is flexible and can start and finish from nearly any location with a wharf. Whether it's Watsons Bay, Pyrmont or Mosman, we’ll customise the route to suit your needs.
