Break down silos and build stronger connections with Aqueduct, a hands-on team building experience that inspires collaboration, problem-solving, and communication. Teams work together to construct a functioning aqueduct, learning firsthand the power of shared goals, resources, and skills.
The event begins with a briefing from your Beyond the Boardroom host facilitator before participants are divided into smaller teams. Teams complete a series of fun, engaging challenges to earn resources for building their aqueduct.
Each team then works on their own section, navigating turns and obstacles while putting their problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills to the test.
Just when teams think their work is done, the next stage begins: connecting all the individual sections into one seamless aqueduct. Teams must coordinate and collaborate to transport water (or marble balls indoors) from Point A to Point B, highlighting the power of teamwork, alignment, and shared success.
Your group will be divided into teams of around six participants, each starting with varying levels of resources to build their individual aqueduct sections. Our facilitator gives teams the freedom to choose their own approach: will they collaborate for the benefit of the whole group, or focus on building their section independently?
Once each team completes their section, the next challenge is revealed: connecting all individual aqueducts into one cohesive system. This is when the penny drops, success depends on collaboration!
The activity can also include a structured debrief, reflecting on how teams communicated, problem-solved, and worked together toward the shared goal, highlighting the lessons of alignment, teamwork, and collective achievement.
