Give the gift of light and hope to children living in energy poverty through this Virtual SolarBuddy Hour of Power, a one-hour charity team-building experience delivered entirely online.
Together, your team will assemble JuniorBuddy solar lights that are donated directly to children living in energy poverty. These lights help students study after dark, improving educational outcomes and overall wellbeing for entire families.
The session opens with an inspiring keynote exploring the global issue of energy poverty and its devastating impact on children’s health, education, and potential. It sets the tone for everything that follows.
From there, your team gets to work. Each participant assembles their own JuniorBuddy solar light and writes a heartfelt note of hope to their SolarBuddy recipient. Kits are shipped directly to your head office ahead of the session, ready for your team to collect and get started. Your Beyond the Boardroom facilitator then guides the full experience live via Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet.
For hybrid teams, kits can be shipped to multiple locations in increments of 25, so no one misses out. Additional postage fees apply.
Once the lights are assembled and the notes are written, the group reflects on the collective impact of what they have created together. The completed lights are then shipped back to us, where every light is quality checked before being sent to our charity partners for distribution across India, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Tibet, Thailand, Myanmar, Vanuatu, and Papua New Guinea.
